Created by cartoonist Stephen Enzweiler, DOWN SOUTH delivers unique and often biting commentaries on American life, southern culture, and our own human frailties through an extraordinary cast of characters, including the two confused vacationing northerners, Gordon and Maude, the voracious kudzu couple Norman and Flo, the pretentious Mrs Coldfield. The strip irreverently pokes fun at all of us, north and south, east and west.

DOWN SOUTH is published in Oxford, Mississippi by General Rawl Media, and appears in print in Y'all Magazine and on the web at Yall-DownSouth.com.
The cartoon first appeared in the June 2007 issue of the magazine and made its internet debut on February 15, 2008. Gordon, Maude, and the rest of the DOWN SOUTH gang reaches an estimated readership of over a quarter of a million people in all 50 states, and even has a following in Germany, the U.K, and Japan (the home of kudzu). DOWN SOUTH celebrated its one year anniversary in June 2008.
